There was no surprise in Usultan where 9th rankedSantiagueno (2-6) was crushed by third ranked San Salvador (7-2) 98-75 on Tuesday. San Salvador dominated down low during the game scoring 78 of its points in the paint compared to Santiagueno 's 56. San Salvador looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Santiagueno 's players. It was a great evening for who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 14 rebounds. helped adding 20 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Four San Salvador players scored in double figures. John Hernandez responded with a double-double by scoring 36 points (!!!), 25 rebounds and 4 assists and Colombian forward Leyder Moreno (195-2000) scored 21 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line). Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. San Salvador maintains third place with 7-2 record having just two points less than leader Metapan. Santiagueno lost their third game in a row. They keep the ninth position with six games lost. They share it with Ahuachapan.
